#57 The resale registry is coming 🎁👀

Get what you actually want this holiday season. There's something exciting in the works just in time for the busiest shopping period of the year.

The old stigma around buying used is out the window—people love to say “Thanks, it’s thrifted!”

Buuuut unfortunately that trend hasn’t caught up with gift giving just yet. According to Poshmark, 92% of people are open to receiving secondhand gifts, but only a third of people are comfortable buying them.

Enter: The Resale Registry, an easy way for sustainable fashion lovers to curate and share a list of pre-loved finds with friends and family.

The goal? To help new-to-resale shoppers thrift gifts with confidence during the busiest shopping period of the year!

We’ll share more details next week when the feature is live, but here’s a sneak peek at how it’ll work:

1. Shop with Beni to find what you want secondhand.

2. Save your wishlist finds to your Resale Registry.

3. Share your Resale Registry with friends and family.

4. Get what you actually want this holiday season!

We’re stoked (both professionally and personally) for this new feature and can’t wait for you to try it. Keep an eye out for for a little 🎁 icon in the Beni extension (and make sure you have the extension downloaded if you don’t already!).

Here’s to getting more people shopping secondhand this holiday season and replacing “Hope you like it” 🫤 with “Yes, it’s thrifted!” 😆

Beni’s Thrift Tips & Tricks

You may have noticed another new feature available in the extension (and if you haven’t, this is your sign to go check it out!). Now, when you’re browsing retail sites, you can toggle between results for both “Same Brand” and “Same Style”…which is pretty convenient for all holiday shopping you’re about to do 😏.
