Partnering with over 40 online resale marketplaces, Beni is a leading aggregator in the resale industry.  Not only does this aggregation allow us to deliver the best resale listings to our users with the Beni browser extension, but it also offers us a unique opportunity to explore trends and patterns across online resale.  

To start this exploration, we’ve created a lightweight report that highlights a few insights derived from our aggregated database that shed light on the key players, brands, and items driving the industry forward.

Methodology 

The findings provided in this report have been derived primarily from Beni’s own analysis of 100M+ resale listings in our database. We analyzed the total number of listings, changes in inventory, and pricing data from the period January 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023.  We supported our analysis with additional data from thredUP’s Recommerce 100 and 2023 Resale Market and Consumer Trend Report. 

Beni’s database includes comprehensive listing data from 34 of the 35 online resale marketplace with which Beni actively partners, excluding those who explicitly did not permit us to incorporate their data. We conducted several different analyses to compare results and ensure that the information presented in this report is as accurate as possible and, when possible, we verified our findings with publicly available information
